DataSpace, the best commercial data center in Russia, becomes a partner of ITGLOBAL.COM

DataSpace is the first Russian data center to receive a Tier III Gold certificate from Uptime Institute. In 2020, DataSpace joined our White Label partner program and deployed an ITGLOBAL.COM VMware cloud under their own brand. This helped them increase their sales turnover by $30,000 per month and attract new B2B customers.

About DataSpace

DataSpace is the owner and operator of the titular data center located in Moscow. It was launched in 2012 and became the first data center in Russia to receive a Tier III Gold certificate from Uptime Institute. Every year DataSpace certifies their compliance with leading international data center standards: Tier III Gold, PCI DSS, OHSAS 18001:2007.

The main service that DataSpace offers is colocation. The data center hosts the infrastructure of 44 telecom operators. DataSpace ensures connectivity with all data centers in Moscow and key internet exchange points.

The task

DataSpace decided to add IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service on VMware) to their service portfolio by collaborating with a managed IT provider. They preferred partners with extensive experience in supporting enterprise virtual infrastructure.

Thus, partnering with us was the next logical step. After all, DataSpace and ITGLOBAL.COM have been working together for a long time. We have our own server hardware in their data center; we offer cloud solutions, as well as platform and managed services to our customers. ITGLOBAL.COM has 12 years of experience in administering and supporting virtual infrastructure based on the best platforms, including VMware. All of our team members are certified as VCP (VMware Certified Professional).

About the “White Label — VMware” partner program

ITGLOBAL.COM partners receive a turnkey cloud infrastructure on VMware and can sell their own branded IaaS. End customers can also access the vCloud Director console, which lets the operator handle the vast majority of corporate customer requirements and offer the service to medium and large businesses.

The program has other advantages: the partner sets their own prices for resources; we provide high availability (99.9 percent); and we ensure full support of all infrastructure components.

Given the potential of the cloud services market, our partners can attract new customers, improve the loyalty of existing ones, and upsell them. The program doesn’t require a large investment: $50,000 is enough to start. For reference, deploying a similar platform of your own requires on average a $650,000 one-time investment, an experienced team of engineers, and monthly expenses for support, data center time and licenses.

Guarantees for ITGLOBAL.COM partners:

  • Full technical support of the project (data center, hardware, virtualization and administration);
  • Partner’s logos on platform user interfaces, binding and links to the partner’s domain;
  • vCenter and vCloud functionality;
  • Project updates.

All the partner has to do is provide marketing support, skilled sales managers, and a database of their current B2B customers. ITGLOBAL.COM is ready to address all additional requests individually under the reseller agreement.

Implementation and outcome

It took 4 weeks to deploy a VMware-based cloud. DataSpace received a ready-made branded vCloud Director panel. Now DataSpace customers can manage virtual machines with great flexibility, migrate their IT infrastructure to the cloud securely, and enjoy all the benefits of VMware.

However, only highly skilled technical specialists and sales managers could provide this service; for DataSpace, this was the main challenge. The partner had to quickly train their staff. With support from ITGLOBAL.COM, DataSpace successfully completed this task. We also always take part in important conference calls and answer difficult questions from end customers.
