QSIG

QSIG (Q-Signalling) is a set of signaling protocols for digital PBXs that are used in modern telecommunications systems. The protocols were developed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to meet uniform standards for routing, forwarding, transferring, and call setup.

With QSIG, companies can establish seamless communication between PBXs from different manufacturers. This is especially important for multinational corporations or enterprises with multiple locations. QSIG can quickly route calls to extension numbers, organize three-way conference calls, and forward calls between PBXs.

With QSIG users can integrate their PBX with other telephony systems, VoIP voice networks and the PSTN telephone network. The protocol suite enables unified messaging, call recording and intelligent routing.
