Cisco HyperFlex
The classic variant of building the infrastructure installed in the data center is based on servers, storage systems and storage networks. This method of deployment is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the deployed infrastructure is expensive to maintain due to its resource-intensive nature.
Cisco HyperFlex – “Data Center in a Box”
The Cisco HyperFlex system combines compute, storage, and virtual machine infrastructure into a single system that is resilient to failure and high performance.
In addition, the Cisco HyperFlex solution can be called the easiest in terms of implementation, because it allows you to deploy an IT infrastructure of Highly Available (Highly Available) “from scratch” in the shortest possible time. With this approach, only 3 server machines will be used to build the minimum configuration. Further it is possible to scale up to 64 servers – hyperconverged nodes of the cluster Cisco HX Data Platform and separate computing nodes.
Concept
Cisco HyperFlex is a hyperconverged platform that includes the following blocks:
- Cisco UCS servers;
- Fabric Interconnects (6400 or 6300 series);
- Cisco HX Data Platform Software.
Supports virtualization and containerization environments:
- Microsoft Hyper-V;
- VMware vSphere;
- Kubernetes.
Integrates into management systems:
- Microsoft System Center;
- HyperFlex Connect;
- Virtual Machine Manager;
- VMware vSphere plug-in;
- Hyper-V Manager;
- Cisco Intersight;
