Dual Factor Authentication

Dual Factor Authentication (2FA, two-factor authentication) is a user authentication method that uses two different methods of authenticating data simultaneously to effectively protect an account from hacking.

Two-factor authentication implies that a user must have at least two of three types of identification data: what they know, what they already have, and what is unique to them (biometrics).
