CDMA
Features
- High-quality signal without interference, minimising the number of communication failures.
- Increased network capacity.
- Higher data transmission speed.
- Lower malicious radiation power.
- Security of transmitted data.
CDMA channels
CDMA channels are divided into forward and reverse channels.
In the forward channel, communication between the cells is carried out on the downlink. Several forward channels are distinguished:
- Pilot signal. The base channel whose signal is transmitted to each CDMA frequency.
- The synchronisation channel transmits the same system configuration and timing data continuously.
- Paging channel sends notifications to the mobile station of an incoming call.
- Traffic channel – code channels that assign call, signalling and voice traffic to specific network users.
Reverse channel – uplink communication between devices:
- An access channel provides communication between mobile stations and the base station, and for answering paging channel signals.
- Traffic channel allows users to use it for signal transfer from the device to base stations.
CDMA is used for data transmission in mobile networks and for radio systems.
