Big Data
Big Data is data of large volume and various forms, which can be processed as a single set of information with the help of high-performance software systems: DBMS, Business Intelligence tools, etc.
Big Data is distinguished by 3 main features:
- Volume. Large volume of data which does not depend on available capacities for data processing.
- Variety. Heterogeneous in content and semistructured volumes of data.
- Velocity. Large volume of data, requiring extremely rapid processing with maximum speed to achieve results.
Big data is used in a wide variety of fields, for example, medicine, banking, retail, manufacturing, etc.
