NSX

NSX (Network Security and Virtualization Platform) is a virtualization service from VMware that provides network security. With NSX, you can virtualize a physical network, i.e., bring it to the hypervisor layer and isolate it from the physical hardware. To separate the new virtual network from the traditional physical network, NSX recreates the traditional network segments and elements in virtual space, including ports, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.

With this platform, administrators can control all elements of network security at all levels of the data center. NSX also makes it easier to validate the infrastructure against company rules and regulations and execute security procedures faster.
