Keylogger

A keylogger is a type of software or hardware device that records every keystroke on a computer keyboard. Keyloggers can be used for both malicious and legitimate purposes. Hackers can use keyloggers to steal sensitive information such as passwords and credit card numbers. On the other hand, keyloggers can also be used by employers to monitor employee activity on company computers, and by parents to monitor children’s online activities.

Keyloggers are divided into software and hardware:

The two types of keyloggers are difficult to detect because they do not appear in the list of installed programs or in the computer’s task manager. Therefore, in most cases, the use of keyloggers is illegal because it can violate a person’s privacy rights. In many countries, in order to use keyloggers for any purpose, it is important to obtain the explicit consent of the user.

To protect against keyloggers, it is recommended that you use strong passwords, do not view sensitive information on public devices, and use antivirus software that can detect and remove keyloggers. It is important to be careful when downloading software from unknown sources, as keyloggers can be hidden in seemingly harmless programs..
