ITIL

ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) is a set of guidelines for managing internal and external workflows for companies that provide IT services. ITIL helps to effectively combine IT services with a company’s business strategy. The first edition appeared in 1992, the latest to date and the fourth in 2019.

The fourth version made many changes to the set of recommendations that are designed to work together with other products, such as collaborations with DevOps and Agile.

The key advantage of all data stored in the library is the methodology of information structure formation, where there are no dependencies on system features, unlike most systems operating in the IT industry.

Each section of ITIL has examples of successful implementation of some process.
