A hacker is a person who uses technical knowledge and skills to gain unauthorized access to IT systems, networks, or sensitive information. Hackers are in the business of stealing sensitive data or causing damage to affected systems. However, some may use their skills for ethical purposes.

Despite the above, there are also ethical hackers who use their skills for good. Ethical hackers are referred to as “white hat hackers.” These professionals use their skills to identify and fix security weaknesses in computer systems and networks. Companies hire them to test their security systems and identify potential vulnerabilities that can be exploited by attackers.
